In June of 1980, Progressive Savings and Loan opened its doors with capital assets of one million dollars and three employees. Twenty years later, Progressive Savings Bank has grown to over two hundred million dollars in assets with five branch locations (Jamestown, Wartburg, Cookeville, Crossville and Homestead ), an insurance agency (The Rains Agency Inc.), an investment center and over 90 employees. By being a full service bank, Progressive can offer “the days of old” … with courteous service and a friendly, “Hello!” when you walk through the doors … to the technology of tomorrow.

In 1927, the The Rains Agency began operation as a one-man office offering a few insurance lines. Seventy-five years later, The Rains Agency Inc is an Independent Agency offering a full line of personal, commercial, property and casualty lines and writing millions of dollars in premiums annually.
